New Music: The Weeknd & Kendrick Lamar – ‘Pray for Me’

XO meets TDE. Following their 2016 “Sidewalks” collaboration, The Weeknd and Kendrick Lamar reunite on “Pray for Me” off Black Panther: The Album.

Over the cinematic production, courtesy of Matt Schaeffer, Cardo, Cubeatz, and Sounwave, The Weeknd takes the lead. “Who gon’ pray for me? Take my pain for me?” he asks before Kendrick swoops in with a heroic verse.

Curated and produced by Lamar, TDE, and Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith, the star-studded companion to Marvel’s highly-anticipated superhero film will be released digitally on Feb. 9 featuring Future, ScHoolboy Q, Travis Scott, 2 Chainz, Khalid, Swae Lee, Vince Staples, and more.

The Ryan Coogler-directed film, which stars Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, and Lupita Nyong’o, hits theaters Feb. 16.
