Post Malone Says ‘White Iverson’ Is His Only ‘Good’ Song

Post Malone’s “rockstar” has been No. 1 on the Hot 100 for eight weeks, but the Dallas-raised MC says it isn’t his best. In fact, he says none of his songs have surpassed his breakout single, “White Iverson.”

Speaking with Nardwuar, Posty revealed that he still thinks it’s his only “good” song while explaining why he used to play it twice at his shows. “I only had one good song,” he says of his early concerts. “I still only have one good song, but I had to do it first and I had to do it last ’cause no one knew who the hell I was.”

In honor of the smash, Nardwuar gifted Malone with a copy of Allen Iverson’s “40 Bars” single. “He’s super sweet,” Posty said of the former NBA player. “I didn’t know what to expect. There was a rumor going around that he sued me for $6 million and I don’t have $6 million. So, I would be fucked if that was the truth, but I met him and he was super sweet. He said his kids love the music and they enjoy having a song with their name in it.”

Up next, Malone is releasing Beerbongs & Bentleys. It was initially due to arrive Dec. 1 but its release was postponed at the last minute. “hey guys, i know a lot of you guys were expecting a project today, it won’t be dropping for a little while,” he told fans following the delay. “I’m sorry to let you down, but i need to make sure this album is perfect for you. I’m gonna keep working my ass off and make the best fucking album ever. i love ya.”
