Get ready for a whole lot of Rae Sremmurd this year. Mike WiLL Made-It has revealed that the duo is set to release a triple album featuring a group project and solo efforts from each MC.
“We got [Swae Lee’s] Swaecation, [Slim] Jxmmi’s Jxmtroduction, and then the Rae Sremmurd side,” the super-producer told Pitchfork. Previously titled SremmLife 3, the project is now untitled and may be called Sremmin’, he added.
The Tupelo, Mississippi duo recently joined Jhené Aiko on the remix to “Sativa” and teased their third album with its first single “Perplexing Pegasus” last year. More recently, Lee confirmed that his debut project would arrive within the next month.
Last night, Mike WiLL won a Grammy for Best Rap Song for his work on Kendrick Lamar’s “HUMBLE.” He did his acceptance speech from the red carpet for MTV News, thanking his mother, father, Jimmy Iovine, and many more.
